April 20, 2017 – Dolson Avenue Medical staff were in the US Army 2nd Aviation Detachment hangar at Stewart International Airport in New Windsor for the 18th Annual Y2Kids Careers from A to Z event.

With the participation of various experts, the event aims to introduce 5th to 8th grade students to different career options available to them when they grow up – one of which is becoming a doctor of chiropractic.

Dolson Avenue Medical also raised awareness about drug abuse and how it affects the community. Staff members signed up school teachers to receive educational kits, and played a series of videos showing the truths and myths about drugs. Students signed a Drug Free Pledge banner and received booklets with information about the harmful effects of drugs.

Since its inception in 1999, Y2Kids has reached over 45,000 students. The event is made possible by volunteers who spend many hours of work, contributions from local sponsors to cover operating expenses, and schools who recognize the value of having students learn and explore local career opportunities.
